The Peet's community responds to the Southeast Asian tsunami of December 2004

The recent events in Southeast Asia have deeply affected all of us at Peet’s. We remain very concerned for the well-being of the people who have been impacted by this disaster, many of whom are our friends and business associates.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the entire Peet's community in collecting donations for relief efforts.

In just a few short days, together we raised over $125,000 including Peet's match of $25,000. Of this number, over $80,000 was collected in our stores.

The generosity of our community is evident in some of the gracious acts of giving by our customers, by our employees, many of whom voluntarily donated their tips towards their store's collection, and by our local grammar schools, where children gathered donations and presented their collections to our stores.

While we are no longer collecting relief donations, we encourage anyone to make a donation to support the American Red Cross International Response Fund.
