Peets is proud to partner with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Societys (LLSs) Team In Training® to support and nurture athletes of all levels and help find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Team In Training® (TNT) is a comprehensive endurance sports training and fundraising program. Individuals train for a full or half marathon, cycle century ride, triathlon or hike adventure while raising vital funds for blood cancer research and patient services. Last year Northern California TNT participants raised $14 million for the cause.
Peets employees have participated in TNT and contributed to the $33 million invested in ongoing research projects at UC Berkeley, UCSF and Stanford University.
Since its founding in 1949, LLS has invested $750 million in research specifically targeting blood cancers. LLS currently supports 350 researchers in the U.S., Canada and nine other countries. The need is critical because every five minutes someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer and every ten minutes someone dies from one of these diseases. Leukemia is the leading cancer killer of people under the age of 20.
Join us in supporting Team In Training® and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with the purchase of a Peet's Limited Edition Cycling Jersey. $10 from each purchase will be donated to LLS.
During the summer of 2005, Peets introduced our first Limited Edition Cycling Jersey as a tribute to our customers and fundraiser for Team In Training®. As a result, over $50,000, was donated to LLS. Peets then offered new cycling jerseys in 2006 and then again in 2007, and $10 from every jersey sold was donated to LLS. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the entire Peet’s community for participating in this effort.
